What is an OLC?

Central to McGraw-Hill’s digital solutions is the Online Learning Centre (OLC). An OLC is a website which contains resources, relating to a specific text.

OLCs have separate resources for Instructors and Students, and some contents contained within may be password protected, which is know as ‘Premium Content’.

How do I access password protected 'Premium' content?

If you are a student, you will need the registration code which comes with your new text book to register for access to Premium content contained in an OLC.

If you are an instructor, you can contact your local sales representative for an instructor registration details.

How do I register the code in my textbook?

To register your code:

1. got to the OLC website
2. click on 'Student Edition' link on the left hand side
3. click the ‘Log In' link in the top right corner of the screen and a drop-down box will appear
4. Click the 'use registration code' link
5. Enter your registration code and follow the prompts to complete the registration process

If you have previously setup an account with McGraw-Hill, enter your Username and Password. If you have not setup an account, you then will need to register some details such as your name, email address (which will become your Username) and set up a password.

Once I have registered, how do I login?

Once you have registered you can log in the following way:

1. got to the OLC website
2. click on 'Student Edition' link on the left hand side
3. click the ‘Log In' link in the top right corner of the screen and a drop-down box will appear
4. enter your Username and Password

You can then access the Premium contents in this OLC.

I get the following error when I try to login: This username and password is not valid for this site.

If you have tried to login to an OLC and you get the following message 'This username and password is not valid for this site', it means you have not registered for access to this particular OLC. You will need to use your registration code which came with the book to register for access to this site before you will be able access the Premium contents. See the 'How do I register the code which came with my text book?' section for more information on how to do this.

I have forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password:

1. got to the OLC website
2. click on 'Student Edition' link on the left hand side
3. click the ‘Log In' link in the top right corner of the screen and a drop-down box will appear
4. click the 'Forgot your password?' link
5. enter your email address
6. click the 'Continue' button

You will receive an email with instructions on how to change your password.

How do I register for Instructor access to an OLC?

To register for instructor access to an OLC, you will need to contact your local sales representative and obtain instructor registration details.

Then you can register for access to the OLC in the following way:

1. Go to the OLC website
2. Click on ‘Instructor Edition’ link on the left hand side of the screen
3. Click ‘I am a First Time User and have a username and password from my sales rep’
4. Enter the Username and Password given to you by your sales rep
5. Click the ‘Login’ button

You will have two options:

• If you have previously created an account with McGraw-Hill, enter your Username and Password in the ‘Yes, I have created an account’ section and click the ‘Login’ button.
• If you have not created an account with McGraw-Hill before, enter your email address and a password in the ‘No, I have never created an account before’ and click the ‘Next’ button. You will then be required to register some details in order to create your account.
  NOTE: Be sure to remember the Username and Password you used when creating your account as these will be your login details in future.

Once I have registered, how do I access the OLC?

Once you have registered, you can access the contents in the following way:

1. Go to the OLC website
2. Click on ‘Instructor Edition’ link on the left hand site of the screen
3. Click ‘I have already registered’
4. Enter your Username and Password
5. Click the ‘Login’ button
