| About ALEKS |
Assess your students in mathematics before it's too late with ALEKS, a web-based personal tutor that discovers what a student needs to learn and when. ALEKS functions as a math teacher's online assistant by accurately evaluating each student's performance and providing one-on-one tutoring appropriate to the student's knowledge of the subject.
ALEKS assesses students' knowledge, guides them in selecting appropriate study material, and records their progress. The software moves between explanation and practice as needed, just a like a human tutor would. It corrects and analyses errors, and it defines terms and changes topics upon request. It also features a class management tool that lets teachers see the results of individual students or an entire class. ALEKS comes with standard, built-in math content defaults, but teachers can customise the program to their own state standards.
