Our Higher Education division has an exciting opportunity for a Melbourne-based Education Consultant. As leaders in digital learning solutions, we are seeking a dynamic, digitally-savvy self-starter to promote our range of print textbooks, eBooks, digital content and resources to tertiary educational providers and book sellers in Victoria and Tasmania. This role is focused in Business and Economics disciplines, selling a diverse product portfolio.
The successful applicant will be tertiary degree qualified, proactive and be able to demonstrate:
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, as well as superior listening skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- A thorough understanding of needs-base, consultative selling with a track-record of achieving outstanding sales results
- The ability to work independently, whilst also contributing to a strong team environment
- The capacity to think strategically and identify new opportunities
- Confidence in negotiating, selling ideas and gaining commitment
- Sound technology skills and experience working with Microsoft Office applications

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Marketing Manager within our growing marketing team; a leader who will be excited about significantly contributing to the sales success of our Higher Education portfolio. This role will champion and drive the marketing, promotions and communication strategy for Higher Education digital solutions and our traditional print content. This is a critical position within the group and you will work closely with sales and product development leaders to develop and deliver on organisational targets.
Leading the marketing team—including two portfolio marketing managers— the Senior Marketing Manager will coordinate efforts to support our sales team and to execute our direct-to-consumer sales and marketing strategy. Being innovative and effective in new ways of reaching out, and selling, directly to our customers via digital delivery is a key responsibility of this role.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, high levels of initiative, enthusiasm and motivation, customer and business development focus (both internally and externally) with a proven capacity to deliver results will be essential to the success of this role. The Learning Solutions Consultant role is an exciting new position in our expanding Learning Solutions team where we develop innovative solutions that solve problems for our customers and initiate effective and cost-efficient solutions. Our carefully crafted learning solutions include some combination of content, technology and curriculum. Our efforts help to deliver student-centered experiences that result in engaging learning experiences.
To succeed in this role you will be required to:
- Develop and sell learning solutions-based products and strategies to universities and other providers and increase market share
- Meet and identify adopter’s needs through strong interpersonal, problem solving and technology skills
- Demonstrate products to create awareness of Learning Solutions capabilities
- Partner with the Regional Sales Managers and their team members to provide customised print and eBook solutions
The successful applicant will be tertiary degree qualified, proactive, highly motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude and able to demonstrate:
- Proven success in higher education sales (strong publishing instincts) and territory management
- Knowledge of educational trends, educational technology environment and higher education landscape
- Strong project management skills– and exceptional organisational skills
- Experience with a CRM tool
- Excellent presentation, communication and relationship management skills
- The ability to quickly learn and demonstrate new technologies
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, web based presentation tools
